Here are some other maintence articles, that I found highley informative. They are geared more toward aircraft owners, but I thought many newer pilots might find some intersting reading here. There are far too many pilots (and worse yet CFIs) who just repeat whatever the local Airport big Mouth told them about how to run and maintain an airplane. Much of the information here will be informative to pilots as well as would be Mechs. Rather than doing all the work myself I'll just point you towards these articles The "Savvy Aviator" colums. Should be madatory reading for any owner. http://www.avweb.com/news/columns/186596-1.html Maintence logs http://www.avweb.com/news/insure/190734-1.html Safety wire. http://www.avweb.com/news/maint/191176-1.html Corrosion http://www.avweb.com/news/maint/182827-1.html Paint http://www.avweb.com/news/maint/182829-1.html 10 Myths http://www.avweb.com/news/maint/182849-1.html Shock cooling, Myth or Reality? http://www.avweb.com/news/maint/182883-1.html New engine break in http://www.avweb.com/news/maint/182895-1.html http://www.avweb.com/news/maint/184932-1.html Winter Ops http://www.avweb.com/news/maint/182770-1.html Groud leaning (very inportant) http://www.avweb.com/news/maint/182900-1.html Read, Learn, & Enjoy!
