Default Log books - how to reduce the workload

We have two light aircraft in the family and I am fed up with filling in logbooks. I have designed a spreadsheet which takes data input from a movements sheet and writes exactly the right format for pilot, aiframe, engine and prop log books. My plan is to paste the output onto the logbook pages rather than writing in by hand. Does anyone know if this is acceptable practice? Thanks for any advice

I print mine on the large-format address labels, so I don't have to use glue.

So far people have been impressed with the readability and error-proofing of the spreadsheet paste-in method. No flight instructor or examiner has had any problems with this way of doing it. I've never run it past the FSDO, however.

Logbooks are pretty much what you make of them: an honor system. It's my signature, verifying that the entries are true and correct.

I don't know, but maybe my thinking will help with yout decision.

I have some concerns with whether a fully-electronic system meets the FAA's requirements. My concerns have to do with whether, if the FAA came out with guidelines for an acceptable eLog, whether it would include internal verification and authentication systems.

But, I really can't see too much of a problem with a hardcopy log that is created from the data in an electronic log using a paste-in system like you and PDC describe.
