Default KFAR ILS or LOC RWY 36 Missed Approach

I was looking at the KFAR Fargo, ND Runway 36 LOC or ILS chart at http://www.myairplane.com/databases/.../00144IL36.PDF
and I am wondering why it lists two different missed approach instructions. It states "MISSED APPROACH: Climb via FAR R-357 to 2800 direct KENIE LOM and hold. (DME aircraft climb to 4000 via FAR R-358 to GORGY/FAR 22 DME and hold N, RT, 178 inbound.)" But the chart states states "DME REQUIRED" so wouldn't all aircraft just need to follow the "DME aircraft" missed approach instructions? What is the reason for the other instructions?

I also just noticed in the notes it states ADF or DME REQUIRED which means the first missed instructions would be for ADF only aircraft and the second set would be for DME equipt aircraft. However, in the profile view it just states "DME REQUIRED" must be a misprint. I assume it should read "DME or ADF REQUIRED".

I think the reason they didn't put ADF because Dewwi (OM) cant be identifyed with and ADF. So there is no way to even use an ADF in the approach segment.

The missed is different. If you have adf you go to Kenie. If you don't have an adf you go to Gorgy. My interpretation.

According to FAAO 8260-19D:

(1) Where certain equipment is required for procedure entry from the en route environment, enter the following in Additional Flight Data: “Chart planview note: ADF REQUIRED”; or, “ADF OR DME REQUIRED.”

(2) Where other navigation equipment is required to complete the approach;
e.g., VOR, ILS, or other non-ADF approaches requiring ADF or DME for missed approach, use: "Chart note: ADF required", or “Chart note: DME required.” When radar vectoring is also available, use: "Chart note: ADF or Radar
required."

It still doesn't make sense to me why the notes in the header disagree with the note on the plan view.

What I quoted said this:

If you need DME for procedure entry, it will be noted in the planview. If you need DME for some other purpose, it will be in the notes section.

In this case, the only non-radar route to enter the procedure needs DME to identify the fix DAYAV.

An ADF is not needed for this purpose and thus isn't noted in the planview.
