Question DA40 G1000 FD question

Quick question for those who have flown the DA-40 G1000.

When the autopilot and flight director are disengaged, will the VSI bug turn hollow?

And, when the altitude hold or altitude capture mode of the autopilot or flight director is engaged, will the VSI bug turn solid?

Thanks for the help.

Honestly I have not paid any attention to what it does when it is disengaged.

I thing the VSI bug disappears altogether. I will check tomorrow if I get the chance.

hey sorry I havent gotten back to this,

Been a mix of broken diamonds (shock and awe) and some hairball weather.

Today I literally saw: Blue Skies, , grey skies, Snow, Winds gusting past 40 Kt, calm clear sunset at about 65 degrees......in that order.
