| Lear 35 Spoiler Slamdown Checks Hello all,
I'm hoping some learjet drivers could answer a question please. I'm finishing up IOE on the 35, and I've been told to figure out why some of our jets require a spoiler slamdown check, and others don't. Any input? Thank you. |

| Re: Lear 35 Spoiler Slamdown Checks The spoiler/spoileron check ensures that the computer will recognize two situations. Spolier mode: Spoilers split more than 6 degrees, computer retracts spoilers(slam down). Spoileron mode: spoilers and associated aileron split more than 6 degrees(slam down). Both situations will trigger the AUg Ail light on the master warn. Both systems stay inop as long as the aug ail light is on, it can be turned off with the reset switch. What serial numbers do you fly? I can't think of a reason an aircraft with these systems wounld't require the check. |

I forget the serial number but I wanna say it's in the 160s and up you don't have to do the slamdown check. Regardless you have to do the Spoileron check that you refer to above.

| Re: Lear 35 Spoiler Slamdown Checks I never heard of that. Maybe because I haven't flown one below sn 201. I'll have to read up. |
