| Need help with this one. If you descend from Fl290 to 11,000 and do not reset your altimeter how far off will it be?

| Senior Member | 200 feet! Nah, roughly 9.3 feet per 0.01 inHg difference from the local altimeter. Baro-Corrected Altitude = Pressure Altitude + 27672*( (Local Setting - 29.92)/ 29.92 ) Your tapeline (geometric) altitude will still vary with temperature, but that's the relationship for a barometric altitude. |
