 |  RAIM and FDE Does anyone know where I can find a reference that really gets into the nuts and bolts of how RAIM and FDE work? I'd also be curious about a reference for the the "dummies" out there. I'm basically trying to put together a briefing about RAIM/FDE for a KLN 900 GPS system, but I'm getting no love from the owner's manual. I'd like something that starts out easy, but then goes into as much detail as possible. Thanks.

| Re: RAIM and FDE I'd go to the garmin site and download the 430 manual. I think there is a section that breifly touches on it. Then, you might want to search for a GPS RAIM related advisory circular at faa.gov There is enough there to boggle your mind.
