|  map or plan mode....... Which of these is the more practical? I personally think map but there are other opinions I am sure! |

 | Re: map or plan mode....... If you are speaking of anything in the Garmin 430/530/G1000 family of operation, I prefer to have a map mode pulled up in the "NEAREST" mode. In the G1000 it shows the full map with a black box on the side containing all the essentials for the closest airport. On the map it drew a vector line, gave yo all your headings and all kinds of great stuff. If I have dual units, like two 430's, I prefer to have one on fltplan view, and one on map mode. |
