| If you are /G is it acceptable to file/request the MOCA between 2 VORs even if you are over 22nm from the navaid? Obviously navaid signal would not be needed in this instant. |

| You would probably be allowed to. Most routes are now putting RNAV/GPS MEA's which are usually at the MOCA Go to airway route data: http://naco.faa.gov/content/naco/onl..._IFR_Intro.pdf

| I think you'd have to have one of those special GPSs...something about a tso or WAAS and not having to use VORs for a "backup". You wouldn't be able to back up your GPS that low. Not sure though. -mini |

| Sounds like you'd be able to do it... you sort of do it anyway when you're going "GPS direct".
