Default Runway over-run at PDK

Yesterday a Westwind jet crew attempted landing in a "driving rain storm". They ended up off the end of the runway. ATL area had very heavy thunderstorms yesterday and these guys went for it. Like American at LIT and Air France at YYZ, they didn't make it. But like the Air France crew, they didn't kill anyone so just an expensive lesson, again.

astra is out of the mud sitting filthy in the dirt access road to the west of the runways. all the ILS components are being replaced. they were down there working on it today. because the ILS is OTS, the only way in was the VOR/DME 27 c-t-l 02R. sucked.
