Hey does anyone know where I can find some pics of the new Honeywell IPFD (Integrated Primary FLight Display) that has a photo comparison of what is actually out the front windsheild of the aircraft? All I see are these nifty synthetic vision shots but there are never any comparisons of whats actually out there. Gulfstream for there EVS (Enhanced Vision System) did show a comparison shot of the EVS and what was out the screen... I want to see how well this IPFD matches up! |

That's where we're headed. All visual/audio/tactile information being electronically fed..and enhanced and computer coordinated to an infinite variety of response programs... | |

The IVS stuff is nice when it is about 1 mile and mist and you can sort of see the runway but not quite. It's also nice at night when you are landing to make sure nothing is on the runway. Little planes and deer tend to blend in pretty well.

Jenius, because the IPFD creates virtual VMC in the cockpit.... now someone out there I am sure took it up on a nice VMC day for a test and took a photo of the terrain in comparison to the IPFD.

Max, you'd be screamin for this feature if you'd ever flown an approach into Aspen at night in the winter!
