Default EGT probe?

I was wondering if anyone could explain specifically how an EGT probe on a seminole works. I don't know if some probes work different or not, that is why I say a seminole.

Default Re: EGT probe?

Most EGT probes are thermocouples, which are just two dissimiliar metals that create voltage at their junction when heated. That charge is displayed as the temperature on the EGT gauge.
