I don't think so.

Needless to say I'm pissed. All that avgas could ruin my fishing hole.

When I look on a sectional is shows that Glen Canyon (Lake Powell) has an altitude restriction 2000'. Am I missing something?

I always took it as an advisory(FAR/AIM?) unless it has changed in the last six months.

Looks like this guy has survived death a number of times. He better check his six before he becomes a statistic.

That guy is an MMA fighter, as well. He fought in Pride, and sucked.

Although it is an advisory, the FAA can and will fine you from what I've heard. I always stayed clear of them.

There was a helicopter pilot here in our area that got busted on this. Someone had video footage of him flying low across the charted wilderness area and directly through a flock of birds.

Anyhow, pretty bad judgement on the Cirrus pilot's part. People trust their engines too much. I always try to fly high enough so that I have a safe way out shall my engine fail.

Well, the regs pretty much demand this of you.
