Exclamation Technical Talk "Best Of..."

The Coanda thread (among others) has really brought to my attention that there are some very good technical discussions that have gone on in this forum. I have a lot of respect for some of the people that post here and their technical expertise, and I'd like to develop a way to keep some of the "Best of..." readily available for future reference.

I know how difficult it is for people to keep regurgitating the same information over and over again, and educating new people on the same topics every 6 months (Newton vs Bernoulli anyone?) can get old after a while, but it can also be off-putting to the new people to just say "do a search" when those questions come up. Thus the reason for this post.

I'm thinking we could put together some of the "best" threads on different technical topics, then place them for easy future reference. I don't know if that would best be done by having a master list with links in a sticky post at the top of this forum, or if it might make more sense to move those threads to the "Hot Topics" archive, or maybe a combination of those or something else altogether. Anyway, at this point I'd just like nominees for threads that you guys think have valuable information and should be kept in easy reference position. We can figure out the best way to access the information later.

Therefore what I am asking is that you dig back in your memory, maybe do a little searching, and then post links to your favorite Technical Topic threads, with a brief description of the topic covered (lift, propeller design, winglets, etc...). (If necessary, we may want to reference specific posts within a thread so keep that in mind when looking around, and maybe add a note to that effect if you think that is required.)

Your help is appreciated!

what a great idea. my opinion is that a master sticky at the top of each category: "CFI corner", "Technical Talk" which is a closed thread. Have the mods unlock it to put threads in by editing the first post and then relock it so that thread doesn't become 100 pages long of people like me posting

great idea now i'll do my homework
