| If a female student is pregnant, must she wait until the child is born in order to meet her solo hours requirements? |

| Old Skool | Uhh... its a new FAA proposed change... embryos can solo at 16 weeks. Only when accompanied by a parent, though. (Man this thread is dumb...) |

| You know, the question might not be a stupid as it sounds. We're looking at it as a Part 61 question, but turn it around and make it a medical question - Is there a certain point during pregnancy that a woman is disqualified from exercising her third class medical certificate privileges? - and it doesn't sound quite as silly, although it does belong in "Ask a Flight Surgeon" |

| Old Skool | You're right... it is medical. If a pregnant woman isn't restricted from flying at some point in her pregnancy, she could inadvertantly bust the FARs during a solo flight by accidentally giving birth. Seeing how she wouldn't be allowed to carry passengers... (sorry... had to keep it going!) |

| Take it step further and ask is there a certain time of the month a woman is disqualified for her "mood." |
