Default AA 757 Panel

Anyone know what the arrows are pointing to? The long rectangular box with switches on it.

Yeah.. Its the best I could find. Its only on AA Aircraft.

Yeah, that's their checklist thing. They do that different than anybody else. I've seen it on their MD80's. They used to set their altimeters to ground elevation all the time, too, until they about crashed one at BDL one dark and stormy night.

How could you maintain altitude if yours is set different to everyone elses?

A lot of carriers used the Qfe procedures. The accident had nothing to do with why they switched away from that. It was a cost factor. Despite the rumors, that accident was totally unrelated to the use of Qfe.
