Default Lightspeed's eating battery's

Word up ya'll,

Has anybody else had a problem with their Lightspeed's turning on in their headset back overnight and killing the battery's? I'm trying to figure out a good way to prevent the ANR button from getting pressed so they don't turn on. I've gotten a solid 40 hours out of the battery's before, but every once in a while I'll plug my headset into the plane in the morning and find the battery's completely dead because the button got pressed sometime the day previous when I put my bag away.

Anybody have a similar problem, and possibly a fix? Thanks!

John

4 rechargable batteries. On set in the unit. The other either charging (when I'm home) or with my (in case the other batteries suffer the Lightspeed Death Drain). Walmart (I know... boooo) sells the batteries and charger for $20.

I thought they had an auto-shutoff feature? I swear my 3G-20's did.

LOL!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they have the auto shutoff feature on them for this very reason. I've never had that problem before.

No, my lightspeeds don't have an auto shutoff, and I do the rechargeables just in case. One set always charged sitting in the bag, then take the batteries out after every night's flying. I live on rechargeables now, for the MP3, the Gameboy, the Palm, etc. I love TSA always checking my bag due to rechargeable chords all over the place (laptop, Gameboy, Bluetooth, etc). They always have to check it due to all the wires. I just laugh now.

Thumbs up Re: Lightspeed's eating battery's

My Lightspeeds turn off automatically but I am not sure how long they sit there wasting battery before shutting off. I have been using rechargeables despite the lower voltage and it seems to work fine. I also have regular batteries for backup. I experienced the Spinks OM head message yesterday!
