| I've read over FAR 135.183 and understand what it says. However, that only concerns Commuter and On Demand Operations. Correct? So what are you legally required to have if you're flying Part 91? I'm not able to find what I thought should be there. I always remebered being taught you needed lifejackets at least, but where is this written? And I do recognize the difference between what the regs say and what common sense dicates....

| Under part 91, you only need flotation equipment (life preservers, raft etc.) if the flight is conducted for hire.

| Got it... 91.205 (b) (12).... You need... If the aircraft is operated for hire over water and beyond power-off gliding distance from the shore, approved flotation gear readily available to each occupantand at least one pyrotechnic signaling device...
