Default aviation oxygen?

this is a little trivia...can a person use welder's oxygen for flight?

Yes.

If you are satisfied that the O2 is as pure as ABO then you are covered.

Per AC 65-9A (Airframe And Powerplant Mechanics General Handbook)

"Only oxygen marked "Aviators Breathing Oxygen" which meets Federal Specification BB-0-925a Grade A or equivalent may be used in aircraft breathing oxygen systems."

Since all O2 is 99.9% pure anyway you can go right ahead and put it in your airplane. It all comes out of the same tank at the distributor anyway.
