Default CFR numbering questoin

Anyone know why most FAA regs end in an odd number. I know there are a few even numbers but there are a LOT more odd numbers.

Is there some rhyme or reason to this?

I have no clue. I dont think I want to know either. Thats just getting too deep in something that looks pretty insignificant to me. I will probably have trouble sleeping if I see someone that knows this answer.

Ha! Okay, you've got a good point. Then instead of asking if anyone knows why, how about "Isn't it strange that the FAA..."

Just a guess, but I've been around enough government publications to think its to allow room for further expansion.

They leave the evens open so if they want to add a section, they don't have to make it "135 A" or something. They just make it "136".

That's my guess...

Here at CMSU we'vew got a ground instuctor that probably would know. I swear he goes home at night and reads the FAR/AIM while fondling himself. He's such an idiot.

Because a lot of the FARs are odd.

LMAO! So cruel, yet so funny!

On the point, do many things the Feds do make sense?

But I would also believe its to allow for expansion, but why didn't they leave the evens open and use the odds? Now answer that!

Well to be honest, after seeing UAL747400's avatar the answer became clear. Hot chicks are WAY more important than why the feds do what they do.

Unless the feds are doing it to you.
