Does anyone know why some IAP charts have the profile view reading left to right i.e. the IAF, IF, FAF on the left and the runway on the right, while for others the reverse is true? If the profile view for a NOA chart reads left to right does that mean the Jepp chart for the same IAP also reads left to right? Why aren’t they all left to right? Am I missing something here?

Okay, maybe I'm way confused here. But how can you tell an Airport's left from its right? Doesn't this depend where you are in relation to the airport? Eg: if I'm standing east of the airport with a north south runway and I'm facing west towards the only runway at the airport, the approach for runway 36 will be on my LEFT and on the airport's right (from my perspective). If I then stand west of the same airport and face east, the approach for runway 36 will be on my RIGHT. Isn't it a matter of perspective? There's something I do not understand...

Ahhhh, okay thanks. So it's like the even vs odd altitudes depending on which direction you're flying. That makes sense. Thanks
