Default Cone of Silence/ Cone of Confusion

Hi There,
Does anyone know the cone of confusion/ cone of silence formula regading antenna transmission. I know this is technical but it's for the European ATPL, and it's overly stupid. Thanks to anyone who can let me know the formula!!!

Oh my Gawd. To think I've actually flown in Europe without the foggiest idea what you are talking about...the horror...the horror.

Sorry....

I found the formula, no thanks to google!!!

Just in case anyone ever needs this formula for a European JAA ATPL theory exam it is:

Cone of Conf. Max dist in nm=
2 x tan 50 x (Aircraft Alt. in ft/6076ft)

I think a typical value for a cone of confusion max distance is about 7nm. The JAA normally puts these problems on the radio nav. exam, hope this helps.
