to students/intructors at skymates: do you guys/gals feel skymates is the best place to get all your ratings despite not having as much multi-time as some of the other bigger outfits? I'm curious as a possible student. |

Depends on which route you take. When I went there Skymates actually had MORE multi-time than ATP since you hardly did any training in the sim (except for the IR). Not sure what the program is like now, but I'm sure it's still pretty close to what ATP's offering (sans the $6K CRJ course). If I had it to do over again, I probably woulda gotten everything done at Skymates, came out owing less money and been done a lot faster.

As stated, in depends on your goals. There are a lot of RJ companies out there that require less than 50 hours of multi-engine time, and barely any that require over 100.

I agree...buying 100 hours would be a waste.
