Default Scheduling for Skymates

I am planning on going to Skymates at the end of April to finish my commercial ASEL and do the AMEL add-on. I'm planning on this taking about 2 weeks. Before I call about scheduling it, I thought I would post here. How does scheduling work? Do they assign instructors? If not, how do I pick one having never been there before? Do they schedule the checkrides for you? Anything else I should know before booking?

Also, if I book pretty far in advance, do you think it would be possible for me to fly my arse off and be done in less than 2 weeks (barring mx and wx issues that is)? Thanks!

All the instructors are badasses, you'll dig em. Casey and JJ are closer to your age.

Schedule as far out as you can, as in months.

Thanks, John. What, exactly, would be the best way for me to prepare? How will the process work when I arrive with everthing done except the 10 hours complex? Is the checkride done completely in the Arrow?

I'd call and get setup with an instructor now, they'd have more details for you. I had guys studying for months in advance to do stuff when they came to see me.

I actually had a guy come in and get his CSEL and CMEL done in 5 days. He had all the time requirements done, though. I gave him a list of books to order from Sporty's or buy from his local pilot shop and told him to study those before he came down. If you don't have the written knocked out, get it done. If you get something like the Gleim test prep software, it'll print out a form authorizing you to take the test so you don't need a CFI's sig. It counts as a "home study" course. Skymates also has a nice syllabus/study guide for the CMEL stuff. When you call and get stuff set up, get them to send you the stuff in the mail. That way, you've got the Seminole POH and the ME info to study. There are some questions in the study guide. Know those when you show up, and you're half way there.
