| Hey Guys, Quick question for those of you who have been or are there. I was loooking into the "quick" program, the one which gives you: 130 hours Multi-engine time for $27,900 and you get your: Private Multi-engine Multi/single-engine Instrument Multi/single-engine Commercial Flight Instructor, Instrument Instructor, Multi-engine Instructor Just wondering if anyone could tell me or give an idea as to how quickly you could get this done. Ive been thinking about ari and now maybe skymates.. Problem is, my wife doesnt want me to be gone much more then 3 months or so, and I am def. not into atp. Any ideas? Ive got about 170TT, pvt/instr. single.. Any info would be appreciated. |

| Old Skool | You don't need that program, call up Skymates and have them quote you a price to finish through your MEI. I came into Skymates with 200 hours and private/instrument and it's taken me about two and a half months through my MEI and 50 hours of time building. I'm guessing you can finish in three months. |

| Old Skool | I came in with about 70 more hours than you have now, and I finished in about 10 weeks. John's right, Skymates can work around some stuff and sorta give you a custom made program for you. |

| Old Skool | Can you do it in dedicated blocks like 1-1.5 weeks a month (and then still stay current at your local airport in between)? Thinking of how to work it into a schedule. |

| Probably so. It depends on how busy the instructor you get is. What certificates/ratings are you wanting to work on? |

| Old Skool | I presently have my SEL PPL w/IFR. Thinking about Skymates for ME/Comm with SEL adder. Come down a week each month to work on the X-C since ME, do SEL work back here in OH to keep up with it. Figure just 2-3 trips to complete ME/SE Comm. From there, not sure yet. |

| I'm guessing you want to do the CMEL first for time building purposes. I did all the way up to my CFI at Delta State and did my CMEL, CFII, and MEI at Skymates. I did my CMEL in about maybe less than a week with about 1.2hrs of sim and 4.4hrs of multi total training. You can pretty much do it in about a weekend if you have all of the ground material (which there is not very much of) learned before you get here. You can probably even talk Ryan into sending you a POH and syllabus/Multi notes/checklist in advance, so you already know the material before you get here. If you do your CSEL first, you could come down and spend a week or two learning the manuevers and go back and practice the manuevers build time etc.. until you are ready for the checkride. It can be done easily. |

| Old Skool | Yes, I was looking at the CMEL first for time building. Looks like I will have access to a SR22 or 182 for some business trips. You did the CSEL then the CMEL didn't you. If I do the CMEL first, the long X-C have to be ME, not SE. That is why I thought of going down, get the X-C out of the way with initial ME training, then return for other Comm manuvers and such. Any thoughts/ideas on this is appreciated. I have a business trip scheduled for Sept to Cleveland, MS. Hope to fly instead of the MEM drive like I have done so many times. I miss some of the restrauants from around that town. |

| Old Skool | I did my CMEL as the initial and the CSEL as an add-on, and I don't regret it. Right now, I'm sitting around 50 ME after getting the 15 hours of PIC and the MEI. If you come in with about 230-240 TT, you can get the initial Comm requirements knocked out pretty quickly. Probably about a week if you fly every day (or even twice a day sometimes). The CSEL add-on took me about 3 extra hours to get the maneuvers and 1.4 for the checkride. |
