2 guys for every girl. However, all there is to do every weekend is drink to forget about said raito. Fun school to go to, but not the place to go to meet your future wife.

If you want to be a pilot - don't pick a school because it's a good party school. It will only get you in trouble.

The football is decent, flying weather isn't bad.. Chris said it best. Don't come expecting to meet your future wife.

I had the chance to go to Purdue, but couldn't bring myself to move there. My friends who did attend said the same thing... The flying is fantastic, the girls are so so. But if that's all you're really looking for in a school then go to San Diego State and get your flying done somewhere else.

Thanks for the advice, though I don't agree. A good party school can build great social skills and networking traits that will help out in the long run. I'm living proof.

Respectfully, I was inquiring about the partying or lack there of at Purdue which is a fairly normal concern for the college bound. It was not even an aviation specific inquirer; it was a probing question about the school as a whole. I wasn’t seeking nor do I need advice on what one should consider when wanting to become a pilot. That ship sailed a decade ago. I was asking so as to give an informed answer to a relative who is considering the school and has questions that aren’t covered on their website. That is why I asked, my apologies.

You can build social skills anywhere - with maybe the exception of UND

Doesn't need to be a "party school" ... there are always opportunities to drink at almost any college you go to.

So look at the factors that REALLY matter.
