Default FLying at Local FBO?

Do any of you guys go to Purdue for something other than aviation, and just fly out of a local FBO like Lafayette Aviation?

I was wondering if thats a good idea. Not only at Purdue, but at other universities around the country.

I know a lot of people that do. There is also an option of taking a Purdue flight course during the summer depending on availability.

Flying at the local FBO definitely has its benefits though. It's worth a shot.
