I am about to go drop off my deposit slip for enrollment at Purdue for the Fall of '05. I will be studying Professional Flight Technology. After a couple of visits and a ton of research (thanks to everyone here for posting), I decided that Purdue was by far the best fit for me. A special thanks goes out to Brian (Vipermcg) for meeting up with me last month and helping me learn a lot more about the program. If any prospective students have questions about the admissions process, by all means just ask! I'll probably have more questions about moving later, but for now I'm just excited to be a new Boilermaker! |

Congrats, just don't dump your girlfriend (if you have one) as there are none here. Literally, zero. |

Dude if you think there are no hot women there you need to actually leave the AT building and make your way to campus - I suggest you start on sorority row. Jason |

Dude if you think sorority row has hot girls, I'd highly suggest you visit Tempe, AZ and see some ASU girls. Until then, the most read book by females on campus at Purdue will be: |

[ QUOTE ] Congrats, just don't dump your girlfriend (if you have one) as there are none here. Literally, zero. [/ QUOTE ] Okay, I'll remember not to dump my girlfriend(s) hahah.Honestly though, when I came to visit, I'd say Purdue definitely had the best looking girls out of all the places I visited. Then again, all the other schools I visted were all full of goofy/weirdo/unattractive/feminist upstate NY girls. |

There are not too many pretty girls in many AT classes, but if you walk through the middle of campus on a warm Spring day, you will see beautiful girls all over the place. I found a pretty girlfriend here, so It can't be that hard...

Congratulations. How about your High School information? Grades, SAT Scores, Classes, etc. If you don't mind sharing of course. I would be really interested in what it takes! As might others. |

[ QUOTE ] How about your High School information? Grades, SAT Scores, Classes, etc. [/ QUOTE ] - 3.8 GPA - 1150 SAT (thought it would screw me) - A few AP classes (European and American history, Physics, Economics) - PPL (will have it soon) - Secretary of a club, member of other clubs, in the Honor Society - Volunteer for a couple org's. Honestly, I thought applying to Purdue would be a waste of $40 or whatever the fee is. After visting a year ago, I walked away with the impression that I loved the school, but I probably wouldn't get into Flight. But I sent in the application (my essay was garbage) and a few months later I got my acceptance letter. I HIGHLY reccomend you go check out campus. I felt as though I really couldnt get a feel for the place through the internet, etc. Apply early. I believe I sent in my application last August. The admissions lady told me that although they dont go sorting through prospective students until November or something, your app. will be on top when the time comes. The program becomes more and more selective as the applications come pouring in. Purdue just seemed like by far the best fit for me. The only drawback is it's expensive, but I don't know your financial situation. |

Chris Ford's advice on women at Purdue is very scewed. After knowing him for almost 2 years now I have realized that his standards are very unrealistic. Weight must be less than 100 pounds but ideally he would prefer 80.

[ QUOTE ] - A few AP classes (European and American history, Physics, Economics) [/ QUOTE ] I would highly advise you take the associated AP tests for those classes. It'll get you out of some baseless core classes that are more or less a waste of time. I took a bunch of APs, and now I'm sitting with 120 credits after 2 years of Purdue... Edit: Dave... don't even get me started. Here's a relatively good formula for determining ideal weight for a girl: Height (in inches) x 1.8 = ideal weight (in lbs) 6 feet = 130 lbs. 5' = 108 lbs. Sounds fair to me. Add ten pounds or so to create an "acceptable region" and bam, there you have it. Some exceptions to this rule, however, are athletes, and people with more muscular builds. /hijack |

You had an essay???? My application was the front of one page. Maybe Purdue is branching out and actually looking at your motivation to attend a school, rather than only your GPA and SAT score. Woo hoo!
