I was recently admitted to Purdue's Professional Flight program and was wondering how easy it is to obtain a good financial aid package. I have reviewed the scholarship information page and intend on attending one of the "Purdue's for me" days this spring. Purdue is my #1 choice as of now, but the only thing causing me to have second thoughts is the cost. Look for more questions from me to come in the future!

Congrats on your acceptance! Not too sure about financial aid here. A friend of mine receives significant financial aid and is in the flight program, so it is definitely doable. I think, however, the majority of his payments are in the form of student loans though. Call the AT advising office, and they'd be able to at least send you in the right direction. Hope that helps! ![]() Cheers, |

Financial aid packages factor in a lot of things. One of the biggest is your parents income. Once you fill out the FAFSA you'll get an idea of what kind of aid you can expect. The higher your Expected Family Contribution (EFC), the less aid you will be eligible for. Actually less grants you can expect, there always loans available. Be sure you visit the AT website (www.tech.purdue.edu/at) and fill out the form for scholarships. You have to print it off and send it in (last I checked). Best bet is to get your FAFSA in early and apply for the scholarships and hope for the best. Good luck.
