The helo gig at the 36th Rescue SQ at Fairchild AFB isn't a bad gig at all. Good location and a fair amount of real world SARs, in addition to supporting the Survival School.

Nice pix. I have a pic of me getting hoisted into the helo at Survival School that looks almost exactly like that, except it happened in 1993! I need to scan it in now for comparison!

My uncle was a loadmaster before going officer and becoming a pilot and he said he loved being a loadmaster.

Nice pics. I actually liked wearing NVG's. ![]() I think I was like the only one in my whole squadron. Though I never had to do external lifts using them, I could see that sucking. Looks like you are loving the new job, congrats. |
