Here are some pictures from the past month plus a few from September. As always, I do this as a hobby and I may miss some dust spots/water spots/ etc. while touching up the pictures. For that I apologize in advance, but here are the pictures: Convair with the old Dart engines. These things are ridiculously LOUD. They did a GPU start and I started to contemplate whether or not I was going to burn to death while pulling the plug. ![]() Sun Country departing with a full boat of casino goers. ![]() One of our base tennants getting ready to taxi. They were flying to the UT/OSU game in Cleveland. ![]() Another one of our base tennants turning northbound for the trip to Charlevoix, MI. ![]() Old Soviet era fighter at another FBO on the field. ![]() I like me some beaver. ![]() Caravan taxiing back to the FBO for some reason. ![]() An Australian "Challenger 850." Blah. To me, it's still a CRJ. Talking to the pilots they said that it's still a dog. They were flying it to somewhere on the east coast to trade it in on a new Global. ![]() More Challenger ![]() More Challenger. ![]() N3N ![]() King Air panel by the pilot's right knee. ![]() Eclipse baby jet. ![]() Maule. Bought by a Canadian in Colarado Spprings, heading to the Toronto area IIRC. ![]() Atlas flying for Emirates going to Frankfurt in the morning light. ![]() This airplane was subbed for our normal Justice flight, which is also an MD-80. Pilots based out of SAT. ![]() Gear up! ![]() American Eagle 3920 rolling down the runway on another dreary day in Toledo. ![]() Eaglenose. ![]() In case you cared, this is what the EMB-145/140/135 fueling panel looks like. Pretty simple. ![]() Saab getting some rest on a Saturday morning. ![]() This strut is new. Normally they're covered in oil/grease/jet fuel/exhaust. ![]() Dowty props on this Saab. ![]() The Saab 340B fuel panel. If you cared. ![]() Blasting off going to Green Bay to see the Packers game. ![]() CrockRocket94's ('temporary'?) ride. ![]() Promed awaiting their next mission. ![]() This has been sitting out for a while now. Not sure what the story is. ![]() Departing on a nice, clear morning. ![]() TBM700. We don't see many in here. ![]() The Arrow I'm flying in ARB for commercial single. ![]() Adams A500. First time seeing one outside of Oshkosh. ![]() F/A-18. They did the flyover at the Michigan game this past Saturday. ![]() Adams A500 gear up. ![]() jetBlue football charter. They brought in Temple to play UT. ![]() Piaggio. ![]() This is one of the shots that I've got to say that I'm most proud of. I touched it up to the best of my ability in photoshop. It's the International Space Station in an exposure shot crossing from NW to NNE this past Monday morning. |

That Challenger 850 CRJ was at IAD last time I was there. The crew seemed to be pretty upbeat for having been on the road for 2 months. The dumb blond CSR was sure they had arrived from Australia that day, and were just making a tech stop before heading to the west coast. Great shots again. The Piaggio, ERJ and Saab detail shots are my favorite. You try shooting any in manual? Last edited by TFaudree_ERAU; October 27th, 2009 at 20:55. |

Amazing shots! Lots of different planes there. The space station is really nice, how long was the exposure? What did you use Photoshop for?

Thanks for all the compliments. Quote:
All programmed auto, except for any long exposure shots. I'm too lazy for manual all the way. I did that when I first started shooting. Only because I had an old 1960s telephoto that was my primary lens and didn't interact with the Nikon at all. Quote:
I used Photoshop to just touch it up. I messed around with the brightness/contrast and sharpened it. I also got rid of some dust spots. | ||

Sick pictures man. I've always wanted to climb all over one of those Piaggio's, just to check it out. Sadly, the FBO that I worked line at, never got them in. Hear them all the time when I'm in Sarasota though. Awesome plane.

Great Pics, excellent quality. I'm sure you get asked this a lot but what type of Nikon and lenses are you using?

Crazy to see that A500. I didn't think any were flying considering the company is extinct and there is only a couple planes out there for parts. Great pictures!
