Had about 5 hours to kill today between the time they kicked me out of the hotel and departure to come home. So, I took my merry little tail down to the Udvar-Hazy Center. This is the second time I've been, but the first time I didn't know what the heck I was doing with a digital camera. Now that I do, sorta, I snapped away. About 30 minutes into it, I got bored with the traditional "get the whole airplane in the shot" look, so I challenged myself to find interesting parts, pieces, or lines on the various aircraft. Here are some examples: Air France Concorde inlets ![]() Hawker Hurricane exhaust ![]() Business end of an F-86 ![]() For all you lovers of engines with an odd number of cylinders...
