Default Going Around the World - Part I

We left ATL on June 1st and are presently in Rome, having visited Paris and Munich along the way.

The ride from ATL to IAD... never been on an Embraer 170 before and it was a very pleasant flight.

The ride from IAD to CDG... not much in the way of photo ops from the terminal. First time on a triple 7... it is sweet!

Halfway there.

Sunrise over the Atlantic

One of a few control towers at CDG

The ride to Munich... OK, not really aviation related, but it IS faster than a Cessna

Control tower and terminal at MUC

As we rolled out at FCO, these folks were saying Arrividerci to Roma

So the following are definitely NOT aviation-related, but it's what I've been living on for the past week...

Cool pics! Hardcore that you're going east the whole time

..but when you're done you will have seen one more sunrise than days you've been alive!

Last time (1963) I went westbound and for 45 years I couldn't figure out if I was a day ahead or behind of everybody. This will set things straight.
