Default Trip to Florence and Venice

Before the trip to Kazakhstan we had a four day to Florence and Venice. Just a few shots. All of the pics were taken using an I-phone so not the best quality. Enjoy.

Wow great pictures. Venice and Florence are two cities I've yet to check out in Italy.

Awesome pics! I was in Pordenone (small town by Aviano) a few days ago. I had a few overnights there, but got too busy exploring the bottom of litre beer mugs with fellow crews to hop on a train and take the journey into Venice. I'm really kicking myself over that. I did get to fly out of Venice airport though once or twice....the view of Venice flying in and out of the airport was great....I'm really hoping I get to go back again soon. Italy is awesome, and Venice just looks like something I have to see before I die.

I am guilty of finding the bottom of the beer mug way to often myself. It just calls out for you sometimes. Flying in Italy was alot of fun. We had an IFR flight plan from Florence to Venice but we kept getting delays because of a runway closure in Venice. We finally asked if we could do it VFR and 5 minutes later we were airborne and at 9500 feet, 300 knots all the way to Venice. 20 Minutes later we were taxing in while our IFR release time was another 30 minutes to go. Anyhow the view at 9500' was awesome. Unfortunatly I took no pictures as I decided to hand fly the leg (when else do you get to fly 300 knots at 9500')? Well I'm off to drink a beer.

I've been wanting to travel to Venice for a long time. Absolutely beautiful. You guys sure are living the life, traveling around the world and getting paid for it too. I hope to be there in 10 years.
