| The 124 is a "C-5ski". The "141ski", or now "C-17ski", is the IL-76.

| I've seen the 225 twice here in Houston on the ramp. It just dwarfs anything near it. The 124 is always here so it isn't a special sight anymore. |

| I was chatting with pilots of the c-17 the other day (on radio) and they told me they can do a 17,000 fpm decent stabilized.... My jaw dropped! |

| Junior Member | We had an An124 leave Rockford this morning too! Volga-Dneper too (same company as one in picture) We get one about once a year...still waiting on that An-225 though =D

| I believe it is because they are authorized in flight reverse thrust. That and spoilers get them down in a hurry.
