An-124, not AH-124.

Nice shot, though!

The 124 is a "C-5ski". The "141ski", or now "C-17ski", is the IL-76.

I was wondering what the hell a AH-124 was!

I didn't remember that choice in the airframe selection at graduation

HA. Bone yards pretty cool to look at though. The ramp is ever chaging with airliners getting new paint jobs and others getting the ax.

How old is your pic of the AN-124? There is one that looks exactly the same on our ramp right now.

Unfortunately as we flew by yesterday, I didn't have the angle to get them both side-by-side.

I've seen the 225 twice here in Houston on the ramp. It just dwarfs anything near it. The 124 is always here so it isn't a special sight anymore.

I was chatting with pilots of the c-17 the other day (on radio) and they told me they can do a 17,000 fpm decent stabilized.... My jaw dropped!

We had an An124 leave Rockford this morning too!

Volga-Dneper too (same company as one in picture)

We get one about once a year...still waiting on that An-225 though =D

I believe it is because they are authorized in flight reverse thrust. That and spoilers get them down in a hurry.
