Default Flying a couple friends to Big Creek

In the summer of 2007 I flew two of our good friends into Big Creek Idaho. It is next to the Frank Church Wilderness area. The strip is at 5743' MSL, 3550 ft. in length, and grass. They have a place to get breakfast. It is surrounded by 9,500 ft mountains. It is about 35 miles NE of McCall, ID. landing is non-standard as there is a hogback ridge on the left downwind side of runway 19. they recommend landing on 19 and takeoff of 01. Bob

Wow that looks amazing!!! I would do anything to fly into there or even around that area. I'm training in a completely flat area and those pictures look like another world! I hope I can go into a place like that sometime soon. Thanks for sharing!

I have a video on youtube of this flight and if you would like to check it out go to www.youtube.com/skybobb search: Big Creek a landing

If someone, with more talent than I have, could post the url for this video I would appreciate it. Bob

Thanks JEP for helping me out. I don't think these computers were made for guys over 70. Or maybe you just can't teach an old dog, new tricks.

Thanks t-cart, I am very lucky to have that kind of flying right at my back door. I love to fly in this kind of country and enjoy taking pictures and sharing with others. I guess it is the old school teacher in me. Bob
