| Hey everyone, These are pics from a Tupelov 154 (727'ski) business jet we have with Rolls Royce engines. It is really a nice plane and the pilots love flying it. Currently the minister of Samara flies in it hence the paint job. Enjoy... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

| Id be willing to bet its not Stage 3 compliant.. Cool plane though, its kind of like a 727ski.

| With the new engines I bet it could operate in stage 3 areas.

| It is fully stage III compliant. You can fly it to anywhere in Europe or the US no problem.

| It has Rolls engines? What kind? How hard is it to get an STC in Russia (or whatever they call it there)? |

| Way beyond me on the difficulty on getting an STC out here. As for this particular airplane, it was built new with these engines. Even though the airplane has stopped being made for commercial airlines the production line is still open and there are corporate customers for the airplane. I believe it was some kind of partnership between RR and Tupelov but again that goes way beyond me. As for the exact engine types...I am not sure but will ask around. They pretty much divide us here...Western aircraft types and Russian aircraft types. Its pretty much two seperate pilot groups. Take care.

| That's pretty cool, thanks for sharing. I flew Tu-154 for about a year and from what I hear about the B727 they are very close. Pilot's airplane, very enjoyable to fly. In our configuration we had 164-170 seats, we did flights up to 5-5.5 hours without cargo or pax hits, 5 FA's, 4 pilot (nav. and FE). Fuel burn was around 5-5.5 tons/hour. Avionics are steam gauges, GPS steroids. I was great, just having 4 pilots in the cockpit already makes it a lot of fun ![]() Have fun and stay safe Semper Fi! |

| Very cool. I love Samara Airlines. Met the former CEO and sat in the nose of a Tu134 on landing. They always have great crews. I wonder if the Krilya Sovetov do get to fly on it?
