Mumbai bay & The Gateway of India

An icon of twentieth century Indian history, this gateway in yellow stone, originally built to commemorate the visit of King George V, is now remembered as the point from which the last British troops left India:

Awesome pics staplegun! 16 hrs 30 min sounds rough though. Even in BusinessElite that sounds like it would be arduous. Keep em coming! Happy landings :-)

Kev, as always, great photos! My CEO just stayed in the same hotel. We know the Taj properties well. Glad to hear that Delta is taking good care of you over there - they should after that flight!

In the photos of Mumbai Bay, are all of those boats anchored offshore water taxis?

ah- my old stomping grounds. (WAY old stomping grounds).

What a crazy place-- but unforgettable and such a rich culture.

Drink bottled water only!
Thanks for the pictures-- my favorite so far!

Don't eat anything not cooked either (Salads, etc). I got the Deli Belly two out of three times I was in India, and I drank bottled water we brought with us each time. It is a horrible sickness.
