Default very cool medevac helo at TKI

Wasn't sure if I had already posted these or not, so I figured what the heck...

I don't even know, specifically, what model of helo this is. However, I can tell you that they can spin the sucker up and take off FAST. I'd love a joyride in this thing...

Also - I don't know much about flying a helo, either, but even in gusting crosswinds, these guys can fly and land this thing so precisely and smoothly it's awe-inspiring. Definitely different from getting bounced around in the little 152 I fly.

That would be an EC-135.

I have sat in that very helicopter. I know a guy that owns a certain helicopter company. He buys and refurbishes, then sells or leases to companies like PHI. Often, they get housed in Temle for a while.

Eurocopter is very popular with MedEvac operations.

Sweet pictures.

It's based out of KFTW.

They have it hooked up to an air cart all the time and it's in the air within about a minute of them getting a call.

Pretty sweet helo.

Based at FTW? I thought it was based at TKI. I mean, it's ALWAYS there, and it's usually there most nights.
