Default CMA to FFZ

A few pics enroute to Midland, TX the other day.

Burbank:

Chino...pretty airport, by CA standards!

Arrival into Palm Springs. Atlantic's FBO there has an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub for crew use!!

Palm Springs on the way out:

The Salton Sea:

Blythe, CA.

Wishing it were a 496! (Or a G1000!)

Alas, it's just a plain ol' 172.

Between Blythe and Buckeye, west of PHX:

And lastly, the view most of the way from Phoenix to El Paso, and on to Midland:

Dang:

How long of a flight in the pitch black? That would drive a person mad. On a somewhat serious note, Did you log IMC?

I flew this route with ATP on my XC's - it was awesome!

A few questions:

1. Did you get some Tri-tip at CMA?
2. Did you check out the sweet Dodge Charger Crew Car in Palm Springs?
3. What was total flight time for your trip?

Nice Pics!

Nick
