Wow, thats the first time I've ever heard of anyone coming TO Phila. to get rid of crabs.

Sweet video! Just wait 'til you have a new FO and they wonder why you decided to plant it on that runway, make sure you brief to them why you're planting it BEFORE the approach unlike I did a week or so ago.

New FO to me, "Boy, that was a pretty firm landing."

Me back to new FO, "Well young grasshopper, let me tell you a little story. It all started back on the dunes of Kitty Hawk..."

Pretty soon I'm going to start showing off my portfolio.

Until a while ago you could just show them the skid marks from the Air Jamaica 757 that mistook 26 for 27R and blew off the end. They finally scrapped the rubber off the runway early last year.

Wouldn't that be a big no, no?

Yes, Runway 08, for takeoff only

I prefer land on 26, so I don't have to shoot the gap or deal wake turbulence at 20 feet off the ground during flare.

No doubt. Yesterday we were coming in from the south so it would have taken quite a while to get vectored for 26 so we got the "Maintain 250 for as long as practical." Then it was "We need you at 170 ASAP." Then "Reduce to your final approach speed, S-turns are approved for spacing."

All with the winds 280@17G22, fun stuff!

Air Jamaica does not fly the 757 and never has so you must be mistaking.
