My wife was visiting me in N Idaho when the boss told me to ferry the plane to S Idaho so she came along. And yes you are allowed to bring anyone on board. And to tell you the truth I consider all of that pleasure flight even though I'm getting paid for it.

Fun isn't it?

I'd be willing to bet that its to prevent the distorting characteristics of exhaust coming from a short pipe and flowing in front of the camera port.

Jeremy,

the company is DWAS- Desert Wind Air Service. The pay is around $ 2,250/month + health benefits after 3 months (not the best health plan though). They also pay for all your expenses on the road like hotel, rental car...and they require 350 TT.

Sarah went back to Socal yesterday and I will be in Lawton probably until wednesday then I will be headed north to Sillwater, OK. How are you and Sandra doing? Have you gotten your IFR ticket yet? How's the flying going?

Idaho is pretty from 1000' AGL plus they have some really good food. Oklahoma in the other hand is flat, grey, food is not as good as in ID and I'm staying in a small military town where I can hear the bombs going off from my room...it's so loud it shakes the doors and windows.

Yes, and my gf is very happy about that.

Ryan: lots of hotel camping in a crappy Econolodge (everything else was twice as much), I've shot only 3 or 4 FPs since getting here almost 2 wks ago. I'm heading up to the Seattle area this morning as soon as the fog burns off to shoot the control field at Olympia. Had to scrap that flight the last two days due to icing airmets on the route, looks like today's the day.

bLizZuE: no reason for the long exhaust, our planes are just well-hung!

I know, I know

I wanted to see you man but with the bad wx I just went up to Park City stayed for a couple of days then we were told to go to Oklahoma. I guess I owe you a visit now. My bad

BTW Utah has the weirdest alcohol laws...how do you cope with that? I felt I was ripped off when they gave me 3.2% alc by vol Coronas ...we had to find some liquor store in PC with bottled german beer to get the real thing.

Cool. Do they have a website? Sounds like a decent wage, especially if it is after taxes. Probably not much IFR flying I am guessing though

How much longer are you going to do that for? Did American Eagle ever get back with you?

Sandra and I are doing just fine. I guess her and Sarah communicate through Myspace or Jetgirls or, uh, something because she is always telling me how you are doing.

No IFR yet. I should be ready for the written right after the holidays. I am up to high B's, Low A's on the practice, but I REALLY want a 100 on this one. All flying done though -See "My Ever Changing Plan" thread in the Career Changers for times.

I guess I was spoiled flying in Alaska, because it just seems boring flying around here Although the fields were kind of beautiful in a different sort of way.
