Default Fantastic view to end a flight + Intro

Hey Folks,

First post here, but I've been a long-time lurker. Shot these on the way back from Peter O' Knight in Florida (TPF). Beautiful airport and excellent service by the ground personnel. Definitely recommended and will be returning. Received a lot of good feedback on these so I figured I would use them to kick off my posting here

My apologies for the poor quality, a new camera will be mine when Santa comes.

Thanks for the welcome, and it's a painfully slow Cherokee.

Nothing wrong with that, just means you can build more flight time right?

It would be FIT Aviations, haha. Although, I was a bit ignorant-- I always thought the red and white paint scheme was theirs, but it is just a factory standard paint...

Actually,
it's a 2001 (I believe)... so-- old, but new to FIT standards. Plane was 53260.

I'm a frosh at FIT...I unfortunately was suckered into taking Flight 2 even though I had my private for 2 years beforehand. I was told that I could take Flight 2 and get my commercial at 190 hours, or take Flight 3 immediately and get it at 250 hours. Flight 2 was advertised to me as being abbreviated to "only 2-3 weeks" for students who already hold their private. What a lie. I could have had my IFR by now, but what can ya' do... An entire semester later I am finally finishing up. Sad part is, I started my IFR back in NJ, got 20 or so hours in and had to stop for the move to college.

Anyway, congrats on graduating! Not sure if i'll last here all four years but we'll see.

Cloudman, thanks for the welcome=] There were a few IFR flights going up, but weather was VFR with showers in some places...but thats Florida for ya'... Ceiling was around 4500 in those pics, at the same time the weather was reporting 'skies clear'

..Well your fun times have just begun. Let me tell you, they WANT your money and will do things just like that to screw you over. FIT is a good school but wwwwaaayyyy over priced. You can get all the ratings and a GOOD deree from a cheaper public school. Make sure you keep track of all of your finances there, they WILL do anything to get more money. I'm so glad that I'm leaving.

...on a better note.....I flew that EXACT plane about 3 weeks ago. Yeah its one of the "newest" ones they have..........

Thats good to do.....a have a lot of friends who came in with similar situations and got the same treatment. Just ridiculous.........Here's a tip, when you do you CFI, don't be afraid to do it somewhere else. A lot of people will tell you that it wont be as good as it would if you did it there (FIT) At FIT its a long drawn out course that takes too long. You can go to another flight school, with instructors that are just as good, do it in half the time and cost. Thats what I did.
