| Old Skool | ![]() Rare clear day in Boston. There was a cruise ship the second trip of the day when we came in. Pretty huge.

Great picture. How are you liking the new gig? Wife and i were up there about a year ago,and rode some sort of sightseeing ship out into the harbor right under that approach. I love Boston. FLY SAFE T.C.

And, of course, just to keep everybody happy, that was taken from the jumpseat, as are all of my pics on approach and departures. ![]() One of these days, I might even post one or two of them. |

I seem to recall there being a note on the approach plates for KBOS regarding ship masts. Is this the runway for that note?

| Old Skool | 4R has the ILS and the mins are raised if there is a tall ship in the harbor.

Like I said a RARE day that it was clear. The only time I had been in there when it was clear and daytime anyways.

Beautiful pic, I love landing at airports where the passangers think the plane is about to land in the water (like DCA, I think its 010) when it arrives on to the runway.
