Default 100K Baby......w00t!

Nothing special, but I don't know that I have taken a car to 100k.

2000 Mitsubishi Galant Paid 18,100 and other than normal wear and tear, no money into it.......(I know, probably put the curse on, but oh well)

my first car was a 2000 jeep cherokee 4wd I never got it to 100k because i was always afraid it wouldnt make it that far. I sold it at 79k and bought a 2000 4runner sr5 4wd with 57k miles. Even though I have a payment again, it was totally worth it. I am now back at 79k but I'm gonna keep this truck until the wheels fall off.

I remember taking my first car, an 84 Cutlass Supreme, over 100K. That was back in 92. An old lady hit it with a truck 3 weeks later!!!

My current vehicle, a '99 Deville, is sitting pretty @ 96K. Only 4K to go, baby

My second car, an 86 Volvo 740 GLE made it to 230k. My third car, a 91 Mazda Miata is up to 180k. I just retired it a couple months ago. It started breaking down too much. My 4th car is an 03 Jetta and only has 45k so far!

Keep telling yourself that. Minivan are the death to the male persona. Welcome to mid-life family man.........end-of-the-world-as-I-know-it kinda lifestyle. Minivan's aren't great........they kill any and all parts of a person's independance. So, you're probably right Jim.....if you're married w/ children and think you could do no better than the average American......minivan's are probably where it's at. They offer a certain amount of 'coolness' while still giving the family the room it needs.

Sorry, I don't mean to offend any "family guys" out there. BTW, how does it feel to have to ask to have your 'nuts' for a night out????? j/k Sorry, I just haven't reached that stage in my life......where I need to ask permission to go out for the evening, etc...

Also, for the record.....you shouldn't post after a night out w/ the guys. It'll jade your position on this particular subject.

That may be, but (as a woman) I've always also kind of thought of them as the end to the FUN persona. Stick a man in there and he's a kept dad. Stick a woman in there and she's no longer a woman - she's a "soccer mom."

Either way. Practical they may be (and I mean no offense, personally, to anyone here who drives a minivan...I'm very blatantly stereotyping, here), but cool they're not. And I hate dealing with them on the road about as much as I hate coming up on a Buick. (It's funny, though - a lot of minivan drivers will race you or be obnoxiously fast as if to convince themselves they're NOT driving a minivan.)
