| Moderator | Nothing special, but I don't know that I have taken a car to 100k. 2000 Mitsubishi Galant Paid 18,100 and other than normal wear and tear, no money into it.......(I know, probably put the curse on, but oh well) Attachment 3556

| my first car was a 2000 jeep cherokee 4wd I never got it to 100k because i was always afraid it wouldnt make it that far. I sold it at 79k and bought a 2000 4runner sr5 4wd with 57k miles. Even though I have a payment again, it was totally worth it. I am now back at 79k but I'm gonna keep this truck until the wheels fall off.

| I remember taking my first car, an 84 Cutlass Supreme, over 100K. That was back in 92. An old lady hit it with a truck 3 weeks later!!! My current vehicle, a '99 Deville, is sitting pretty @ 96K. Only 4K to go, baby ![]() |

| Old Skool | My second car, an 86 Volvo 740 GLE made it to 230k. My third car, a 91 Mazda Miata is up to 180k. I just retired it a couple months ago. It started breaking down too much. My 4th car is an 03 Jetta and only has 45k so far!

Sorry, I don't mean to offend any "family guys" out there. BTW, how does it feel to have to ask to have your 'nuts' for a night out????? j/k Sorry, I just haven't reached that stage in my life......where I need to ask permission to go out for the evening, etc... Also, for the record.....you shouldn't post after a night out w/ the guys. It'll jade your position on this particular subject. | |

Either way. Practical they may be (and I mean no offense, personally, to anyone here who drives a minivan...I'm very blatantly stereotyping, here), but cool they're not. And I hate dealing with them on the road about as much as I hate coming up on a Buick. (It's funny, though - a lot of minivan drivers will race you or be obnoxiously fast as if to convince themselves they're NOT driving a minivan.) [/mean post]
