Default NYC River Corridor

A few days ago a student and I flew up to NYC to do the Hudson river corridor. Instead of ducking underneath the class B, we asked for clearance so we can get up and above all the helos that are out and about. It wasn't a problem and I'd highly recommend it to anyone in the north east/mid atlantic who is looking for something fun to do. Anyway, here are the pics.

I think that's what it is supposed to be, but we opted to get traffic advisories from NY approach who handed us off to EWR tower who handed us off to LGA tower (both were special freqs for just above the Hudson). I'm glad I did that cause at one point in time I was told "there are 5 targets between you and the statue of liberty" which was only a mile or two away.

Okay, 123.05 is our unicom frequency and I hear people who go up the corridor on it every once in a while. Sounds like a better move to be on New Yorks ATCs for the advisories, that is a lot of congestion in the area.

The funniest thing is that I'm from NYC; Brooklyn to be exact, and I've never seen it in anything smaller than the airliners.
