Default Pics from a six-day Paris trip

These are just random photos because I only had my camera phone. On the next trip, I'll take better pics! Unfortunately, most only deal with the actual flying and none of the layover.

I could have used one of the layover photos for the "upcoming book" but I'll have to tell that story at NJC in a few years. Boy oh boy. And I'll leave it at that.

If you look on the left, you'll see that we're following another guy on an offset on NAT-W:

The "crew break" list. Famous sociopaths. Why in the hell did I have to be the fat clown John Wayne Gacey? Was the relief pilot telling me something?

Just passing the "equal time point". The other guy played a trick on me by leaving the nav display with "CTR" selected. I'm a newbie, what can I say.

View from the hotel room

Isle of Man... I think. Somewhere east of Britain:

Coasting-in over North France:

That's right, type rated, baby! (ok, well I flew relief and the captain was on break this leg)

On arrival to CDG:

Look at all of the airliners.net'ters at CDG!

Aww, only had the 'micro bus' this time

The "original" -- out foraging for debriefing room goodies at the G20.

The Seine:

Snack on the flight back to the US:

Terminal's almost done:

You can barely make out a Paris AIr Show performance at Le Bourget if you look close enough:

About to cross the English channel towards Enger-land:

The dreaded "track change"

Trick I learned for mounting the microphone from JC's very own user Staplegun:

And if you're wondering why I backed up all of my trips into one big 12-day hunk o'flying. It's so I've only got to do this once a month for 4 and something or rather hours:

Riding the jumpseat home

Thank you America West! (I called it USAirways initially, but was quickly corrected and set straight by the skipper)

Friggin awesome Doug, I hate you . Really though you have got to have one of the best jobs on the planet. I found some old pics of me as a kid sitting with my old man in a DC8 he flew at UAL. I will upload them when I figure out how to scan em there are some in flight ones too. Agree with Darren about the FAs. I like the one in the black dress .

I'm not kidding when I say this, but one month on the ER totally refreshed my perspective on the international airline business.

I simply wouldn't be happy without the option to fly international. It's like you've finally arrived!

Domestic just ain't where it's at! I'm not even tired, actually spent a lot less money while having a tremendously better time on layovers, met a lot of interesting people, came home with a suitcase full of wine and snacks and have a story or two for the fabled book I'm joking about writing.

In fact, I just took out the photo of the flight attendants and us getting on the bus!

All I need someone doing is writing their sup about a bunch of intarwebbies lusting over their photos.

But on this leg, they were all friendly and very attractive, I'll admit!

How long is your typical layover? Any issues getting them to always schedule you for 12 in a row, so you only have to commute once a month??

Yeah, I just stare at my desk; but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.
