Default The Pilot formerly known as ChinookDriver

ever do any lifts like so:

Attachment 2620

A Chinook helicopter carries a 1950's T-28 plane to the 133 Airlift Wing Minnesota Air National Guard landing pad Friday. The plane, that was flown to St. Paul from Pennsylvania, will be placed in the Minnesota Air Guard Museum.

External loading anything aerodynamic can be tricky. Go too fast and the load wants to fly on its own.

Nope - never have. And Velocipede is exactly right - aerodynamic loads can be a handful.

NICE! Couldn't make out the squadron, but the A/C numbers would lead me to guess Gunbearers.

Did the Packrat thing myself.
