| Thanks for the props! (no pun intended) I hope one day to exhibit a sliver of the talent of one Mr. Tim Samples (timbuff10) ![]() |

| Old Skool | Wow... you guys get your tail number for the whole trip and the number of passengers? That's pretty good. We don't know if we are swapping until the inbound leg mostly. |

| Yeah, it is planned but it is rare that it holds up through day 2. Usually day one is good to go though. Day 2 on - the guessing game begins ![]() Do you guys have info on your release that says what the aircraft is doing next? Ours always says for example - "Aircraft 770SK turns to 6789 ORD - SGF at 17:15 local" Forgot to add: Once in a great while I will make a 3 day trip with the planned tail numbers and no surprise swaps. Its niiiiiice! Last edited by bike21; May 18th, 2007 at 11:37. Reason: forgot... |

| Old Skool | Nope. The only way we know where the plane is going next is to call ops in range and they will tell us. Even then, when you call ramp up and tell them what gate you are going to, often times they tell you you are wrong and you are going to a different gate and the plane is going somewhere else. |

| Ahh bummer. Maybe that could be a project to get that swap info listed on your releases? Easy for the company to do and obviously tons easier on you guys. |

| Nice job on the artsy one. I have to ask ... why'd you choose the D40x? Not knocking the choice. I'm in the market for a D-SLR and haven't decided which one to buy.

The D40x has the smallest body for an SLR at this time. So I get the most compact body for throwing it in my flight bag or Camelbak (when on the bike) - that way it doesn't hog up all the space. Plus it is still 10MP, so I didn't sacrifice any quality there. There was nice write up on it in this months Popular Photography magazine. Almost went for the Rebel XTi, but one of my buddies shoots with Nikon so he will be able to help me out a ton. And he gave me a free lens!! ![]() | |
